Dee Kourtsman

Dee Kourtsman brings the programme "Deti Prosveta" to Kafe-bar Avangarda at Vojvode Dobrnjca 34. Music from 19:00.

Kourtsman is a singer and songwriter from St Petersburg who works a line between Russian rock, Celtic folk and the Russian bard tradition, with Renaissance music, romances and 1960s rock in the mix as well. He writes and sings most of the material of the folk-rock band The Dartz — among them "Katti Sark", "Ogni Samayna", "Rodom iz Irlandii", "Kogda pozovyot tebya more", "Cherepovets" and "Bol i Voronezh".

The new programme is built around songs about childhood that does not end with age, about grown-up children learning to live again, and about lanterns and lighthouses. Alongside it the set takes in Irish, Scottish and Breton tunes and the older songs the audience sings along to.

Tickets start at 2,500 RUB; the vendor prices this one in roubles rather than dinars. The concert is in Russian.
