Terms of Service

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Agreement to terms

By using Dig The Gig (digthegig.live) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Dig The Gig is operated by an individual. Questions about these terms: privacy@digthegig.live.

The service

Dig The Gig is a free, non-commercial guide to underground gigs. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Accounts

Provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for your email account and your sign-in methods (magic links, third-party sign-in, passkeys) — anyone with access to them can access your account. You must be at least 15 years old to use the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit — gigs, venues, images, feedback. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as part of operating the service. You confirm you have the rights to what you upload, especially cover images. If your account is deleted, published listings may remain in anonymized form.

Acceptable use

  • No unlawful content, spam, or misleading listings.
  • No impersonating other people, venues, or bands.
  • No infringing others' rights — including posting copyrighted images you have no permission to use.
  • No scraping at disruptive volumes, and no interfering with the service or its security measures.

Moderation

Submissions are reviewed before publication. We may approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion, and we do not guarantee publication.

Disclaimers

Event information is submitted by users and may be wrong or out of date — gigs get moved and cancelled. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Always double-check before heading out.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from using (or being unable to use) the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your mandatory statutory rights.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account yourself in Settings, or email us and we will do it for you; either way the account stays recoverable for 30 days (signing back in cancels the deletion) before it is erased for good. See the Privacy Policy for what is erased and what stays. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — the content license for published listings, disclaimers, and liability limits — survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country the operator is based in. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections granted by the mandatory rules of your own country of residence, wherever that is.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will announce it on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
