Evoken are an American band from New Jersey playing slow, bleak funeral doom metal. Formed in 1992, they have become one of the genre's most respected acts thanks to their crushing, atmospheric sound, extended compositions, and deeply melancholic mood. Expect a dense wall of sound: slow, oppressive riffs, deep growls, occasional melodic keys, and a dark, almost hypnotic immersion — heavy and monumental, like a genuine ritual.
