About
Neo-soul legend Bilal is coming to Belgrade for the first time! One of the most important voices in contemporary neo-soul, R&B, and jazz, American singer-songwriter Bilal, will perform in Belgrade for the first time. On Thursday, December 17, from 9 PM, Bilal comes to Bluz i Pivo for an exclusive concert in an intimate club setting. Bilal is one of those artists who is loved by fellow musicians just as much as by audiences. As a member of the legendary Soulquarians collective, alongside artists such as D’Angelo, The Roots, Common, Erykah Badu, Mos Def, and J Dilla, he has been pushing the boundaries between soul, jazz, hip-hop, and funk for more than two decades, inspiring generations of musicians. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists including Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Robert Glasper, Common, The Roots, Guru, Clipse, and Erykah Badu, while his voice is regarded as one of the most distinctive in contemporary African-American music. The Belgrade show comes in a special year — 25 years since the release of his cult debut album 1st Born Second, one of the defining releases of the neo-soul movement. Expect an intimate concert with limited capacity, offering a chance to experience Bilal’s music up close.
