Power metal giants Kamelot are returning to Serbia after a long 18 years, where the band filmed several music videos, as well as the official DVD/bonus album “Live in Belgrade.” It can be said with certainty that Belgrade holds a special place in the band’s history, so this concert is announced as one of the most emotional moments of the tour. They will be joined on November 15 at Hangar by bands led by outstanding female vocalists: Exit Eden and Temperance. Early bird tickets sold out in one day! The presale price is 4,400 RSD, available via Gigstix, while on the day of the concert they will cost 4,900 RSD, if any remain. Physical tickets are also available at Katakombe Bar (Knez Miletina 45, Dorćol). Kamelot is an American symphonic/power metal band founded in 1987 in Florida, which has built its status over its career as one of the most important names in modern melodic metal. The band’s founder and driving force is guitarist Thomas Youngblood, and over the years they have developed a recognizable blend of power, progressive, and symphonic metal elements with a strong theatrical atmosphere. They originally started as Camelot on the suggestion of Thomas’s mother, but in the early 1990s changed their name to Kamelot due to a local record store with the same name. Their first major breakthrough came at the end of that decade with the arrival of vocalist Roy Khan, when the band began building a strong European fan base and redefining its sound. Their music balances dark themes, epic choruses, and progressive arrangements, making them a band that works equally well for metal audiences and broader listeners outside the genre. The current lineup includes Thomas Youngblood, Tommy Karevik (vocals), Oliver Palotai (keyboards), Sean Tibbetts (bass), and Alex Landenburg (drums). They have released 13 studio albums, with a new release expected this year. Their debut album “Rhapsodies in Black” brought them international attention, and with their second album “Femmes Fatales” they expanded their identity with original songs, including the single “Run!” featuring Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish).
