About
Phony Job is a musical project launched in 2023 by Petar Bogojević, driven by the need to shape and present his musical sketches. The music is inspired by the sound of the 1960s as well as the modern expression of bands such as Allah-Las, Mystic Braves, The Black Angels, and The Dandy Warhols. The most recognizable elements of Phony Job's sound are fuzz guitars and organ solo sections.
Following their first tour across Serbia, the band focused during the autumn and winter of 2024/25 on introducing their music to regional and international audiences. Concurrently, Phony Job is working on their debut album.
Blaazh is a psychogaze band from Belgrade. Their sound blends psychedelic shoegaze with a darker edge, drawing on the late-1960s art-rock minimalism characterized by repetition, restraint, and gradual progression. A subtle desert/noir tone permeates the atmosphere, while the melodies carry a Lynchian note: somewhat surreal, dreamlike, and woven with a quiet tension.
Over the past year, Blaazh has evolved from a sound close to classic psychedelia and rock 'n' roll toward darker, slower, and more contemplative songs. The mood and restraint of post-punk—with echoes of The Birthday Party and 16 Horsepower—now intertwine with their core influences: the hypnotic psychedelia of Spacemen 3 and the sharpness of The Jesus and Mary Chain's shoegaze sound. The result is tracks that unfold patiently, featuring controlled builds and releases of tension.
