VASILY K.: BIG SOLO CONCERT IN BELGRADE! Behind him are years of touring, dozens of albums, a life and music split between Russia and Sweden, performances with the band Vasily K. & The Intelligentsia (Intelligenty), and solo experiments on the border of song form, free improvisation, noise, and ambient music. After being forced to leave Russia, Vasily will perform in Serbia for the first time with major solo concerts — August 21 in Belgrade and August 22 in Novi Sad. Vasily K. is a poet, rock musician, and songwriter known for songs such as "Derzhava" ("The State"), "Sobaki" ("Dogs"), "Bezobrazny i zly" ("Ugly and Angry"), and many others. His music can be both very personal and very loud — ranging from songs where every word and intonation matters, to sonic experiments that are impossible to predict in advance. The concert has two parts: In the first, Vasily will perform songs from his recent releases — music largely shaped by his current inner state, his anti-war stance, and anti-totalitarian reflection.
