Pianist Sava Miletić brings his trio back to Bluz i Pivo, this time with Slovenian saxophonist Jure Pukl as guest. The two have been playing together for years.
Miletić studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and has worked with David Binney, Seamus Blake, David Murray, Matt Brewer and Donald Edwards. He teaches jazz piano at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and recorded his first album of original material, "Roller Coaster", in New York.
Pukl's career has run through Vienna, The Hague, Berklee College of Music, Graz and the New York jazz scene. He holds one of Slovenia's highest awards for artistic work, and has played with Branford Marsalis, Esperanza Spalding, Vijay Iyer, Maceo Parker, Dave Liebman, Joe Sanders and Gregory Hutchinson.
