Death In Rome, Herr Lounge Corps

Death In Rome is a German project that takes pop anthems from different decades and moves them into another reality: anonymity, a stage full of smoke, an acoustic guitar and apocalyptic vocals. Under the cold surface sit the lyrics of "What Is Love", "Wrecking Ball", "Summertime Sadness" and other Billboard hits, which turn out quite differently when sung this way. The band plays with the strict cliches of neofolk and the irony is part of the music.

Herr Lounge Corps is the project of Slovenian composer and pianist Miroslav Snejdr, known in the scene for his work on Death In June records and live shows. On his own he builds melancholic sketches with piano, accordion and other live instruments, ending up somewhere near the soundtrack of a silent film that was never made.

The Belgrade show also features Zaubergeist, a Serbian project from Vojvodina working somewhere between folk and funeral country.

The show starts at 19:00. Early bird tickets cost 1,900 RSD. The tour continues to AG Club in Sarajevo on 12 December.
