About
The second edition of "International Improvisers Unite for a Night of Sonic Exploration", after the four musicians first met at UK Parobrod in 2025. Four approaches to sound, nothing agreed in advance: the music is made in the moment.
Leonel Kaplan is an Argentine trumpeter living in Belgrade, active on the international free improvisation scene since the early 2000s, with records on Another Timbre, Relative Pitch and ESP-Disk'. He treats the trumpet as a physical sound source — breath, resonance, extended technique — rather than a melodic instrument.
María "Mange" Valencia, from Bogotá, plays saxophone and clarinet and composes. She has worked with Meridian Brothers, MULA, Tortuga Alada, VienTox, Asdrubal and Hurakán Orkan, and was one of the people behind Bogotá's Distritófonico festival.
Ilia Belorukov, originally from Saint Petersburg and now based in Novi Sad, works across improvised, noise and electroacoustic music with alto saxophone, modular synthesis and electronics. He founded the Intonema label.
Marina Džukljev, from Novi Sad, trained as a classical pianist before moving into contemporary and improvised music, with releases on Leo Records, FMR, Klopotec and Inexhaustible Editions and years of curating through Improstor.
