Stereo MC's return to Belgrade! After an unforgettable show at Hangar in 2023, the legendary British band that blends hip-hop, funk, and electronic music is coming to OpenAir Corner Luka Beograd on August 28, 2026! Early bird tickets are available at cooltix.rs for 2,800 RSD. Formed in the mid-1980s, Stereo MC's emerged with a unique fusion of electronic music and hip-hop. Alongside releasing their first vinyl records, the early years of the band's career were marked by the founding of their independent label, G Street Records, through which they collaborated with numerous British and American hip-hop artists, including Jungle Brothers. Rob Birch and Nick Hallam first caught the attention of critics and audiences with their 1989 debut album, 33-45-78, released on the legendary Island/4th & Broadway label. Their innovative sound quickly earned them international recognition, leading to extensive touring and appearances at major festivals around the world. Stereo MC's secured their place in the history of pop and dance music with the 1992 single "Connected," an international Top 20 hit and the title track of the album of the same name. Connected reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and earned the band two Brit Awards in 1994—for Best Group and Best Album. In addition to the iconic title track, the album produced classics such as "Step It Up," "Creation," and "Ground Level," songs that helped define the sound of the 1990s.
