Aleksandar Škorić, a drummer and percussionist, will perform a solo concert at Dimi on Thursday, September 10. In his solo performances, Škorić uses improvisation to translate different emotional and spiritual states into sound through drums and percussion. He shares an immense amount of energy with the audience, creating a musical narrative that leaves space for listeners to recognize themselves in it. Škorić studied jazz at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, the Netherlands, and at KASK Conservatory in Ghent, Belgium. He has performed internationally with leading figures in free jazz and improvised music, including Charles Gayle, Linda Sharrock, Akira Sakata, William Parker, John Dikeman, Jaimie Branch, Shabaka Hutchings, and many others.
