One of the most important black metal tours of the year is coming to Belgrade! Norwegian genre pioneers Mayhem will headline a spectacular show at Zappa Barka on Saturday, October 3, 2026, joined by Swedish legends Marduk, who return to Serbia for the first time in seven years. As part of the Death Over Europe Part II tour, the audience can expect a night of raw energy, occult anthems, and performances from two bands that forever changed the course of extreme metal history. Early bird tickets are available for 4,300 RSD via the Hangtime website. Once the first allocation sells out, the advance price will increase to 4,900 RSD, while tickets at the door (if available) will cost 5,500 RSD. Physical tickets will soon be available at Katakombe Bar and Zappa Bar. Founded in Norway in 1984, Mayhem are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of extreme metal and one of the key architects of the second wave of Norwegian black metal. Their landmark releases Deathcrush and De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas laid the foundations of the genre, while later albums such as Grand Declaration of War, Ordo Ad Chao, Esoteric Warfare, and Daemon proved that, even after more than four decades, the band continues to push the boundaries of its sound. Over the years, Mayhem has become far more than just a band—it has grown into one of the defining institutions of extreme music. Despite the tragedies and controversies that marked its early years, the group endured and earned its place among the most respected names in the global metal scene. With nearly 1,000 concerts in more than 60 countries and an ongoing 40th anniversary tour, Mayhem remains one of the most formidable forces in black metal. Current lineup: Necrobutcher — bass Hellhammer — drums Attila Csihar — vocals Teloch — guitar Ghul — guitar The evening will be opened by Marduk, one of the biggest names in black metal. While firmly rooted in the genre, the band often incorporates elements of death metal and occasional melodic passages—only to plunge back into relentless sonic assault (tip: don't listen to Panzer Division Marduk on an empty stomach). Named after the ancient Babylonian deity, Marduk was formed in 1990 in Norrköping, Sweden. Guitarist Morgan "Evil" Steinmeyer Håkansson, the band's founder and driving force, set out with a simple mission: to create the most blasphemous band of all time—and many would argue he came remarkably close. Throughout their prolific career, Marduk have released 15 studio albums. Alongside Morgan, the band's long-standing members include vocalist Mortuus (Daniel Rostén, also founder of Funeral Mist) and drummer Bloodhammer.
