About
Jazz and fusion guitarist and composer Miroslav Mirosavljev — Mickylee — plays for a Belgrade audience again after many years, this time with his Serbian quartet.
Mickylee has lived and worked in Vienna for years as a performer, composer and teacher. He took a master’s in jazz guitar and jazz composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and now teaches at JAM MUSIC LAB in Vienna, where he is also vice-dean for teaching. He has played across Europe, North America, Africa and Asia, worked with John Stowell and Ulf Bandgren, and won first prize at the international big band composition competition in Barga, Italy. His own output covers jazz and fusion albums, theatre and film music, and arrangements.
The quartet is Miroslav Mirosavljev — Mickylee on guitar, Kristijan Mlačak on saxophone, Milan Nikolić on double bass and Aleksa Milijanović on drums. The set mixes Mickylee’s own compositions with a selection from the contemporary jazz repertoire.
