Svirka u Beograd Bašti

On Saturday, September 27th, there will be a big free rock concert at Beograd Bašta park in Zvezdara (Bregalnička 5), running from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Entry is free, and organizers are asking for voluntary donations toward maintaining the park.

Beograd Bašta itself is a cult spot — it used to be an open-air cinema, and the space has since been turned into a park.

The concert is a neighborhood initiative led by the local band Lipov Loud, aimed at preserving and maintaining the park.

Four Belgrade bands will take the stage: Sharks, Snakes & Planes, Oskar Tomas, Lipov Loud, and Broken Strings — all working in various shades of grunge, alternative, and garage rock. For example, Sharks, Snakes & Planes blend grunge sounds with alternative rock and distinctive rhythms, known for their EP "Nebeska mehanika."

Costs for sound, lighting, and security are covered by local businesses — based on past editions of this same initiative, that's typically pizzerias, cafes, and breweries from the neighborhood.
