Uroš Nedeljković was born on February 6, 1976, in Svetozarevo (now Jagodina), Serbia. Since the early 1990s, he has been active on the music scene as a punk rock vocalist. In 1994, he turned his focus to the saxophone, mastering the tenor, alto, and soprano saxophones. He studied at the Jazz School Lucerne in Switzerland until 2000, after which he moved to India to study the mridangam, the principal percussion instrument of South Indian classical music, under the renowned performer and teacher Mavelikkara Vellukutty Nair. He remained in India until 2006 before relocating to Paris, where he enrolled at the American School of Modern Music (Berklee International Network). He continued his education until 2008 at the prestigious Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood (CMDL). His greatest mentor and close friend was the legendary drummer Sunny Murray. Nedeljković has performed extensively on the international stage. Today, he lives in Belgrade, where he works as both a concert and studio musician. His performances are rooted in spontaneous improvisation—music that, much like Zen, exists entirely in the present moment and is never the same twice. Aleksandar Škorić is a drummer from Bački Jarak, Serbia. He began playing drums in high school as a member of an evergreen orchestra led by Jasmina Nešković before continuing his studies at jazz conservatories in Groningen (the Netherlands) and Ghent (Belgium). For Škorić, music is life. Improvisation is the nature of existence. Love and light are the healing force of the universe. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with acclaimed artists from Serbia and around the world, including Charles Gayle, John Dikeman, Jaimie Branch, Farida Amadou, Akira Sakata, and Luke Stewart. Having spent many years living in the Netherlands and Belgium, he also worked closely with leading figures of the local free improvisation and free jazz scenes.
