About
Alexander Zaloopin is a masked singer and performer who emerged in the mid-2000s as a response to the dominance of prison chanson in Russia, subverting its narrative form and its taboos through irony and theatricality into what is often called "queer chanson". The 2009 album "Sweet and Nasty" combined chanson storytelling with punk attitude; his sound pulls in post-punk, breakbeat, dub, witch house, IDM, minimal wave and house, delivered in a hoarse voice and extravagant costumes.
Uvazhaemiy is the solo experimental project of Vitalii Zimin, a Berlin-based musician and the founder of the independent label Crunch Tapes. It is built on distorted guitars, funky beats, minimal electronics and deliberately theatrical, absurdist vocals that shift between styles.
Doors open at 20:00, Uvazhaemiy plays at 21:00 and Alexander Zaloopin at 22:00. Tickets start at €14.99. The event is 18+ and is presented by Crunch Tapes.
