About
Ćale i Svatovi play New Orleans music — NOLA funk, brass band arrangements and second line rhythms. What began as a trio of Serbian musicians has grown into a nine-piece with players from Serbia, Russia and the United States. The band has spent several years on Serbian clubs and festivals, and played the Kikinda jazz festival in 2023.
For this show they are joined by Victor Hege, who also works as Victor Belinda Cowbooy — a French multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer adding sousaphone to the brass section. He trained in Basel in classical music, jazz, composition and production.
