JETHRO TULL RETURNS TO BELGRADE – SEPTEMBER 11, 2026 AT SAVA CENTAR One of the most influential names in progressive rock returns to Belgrade – Jethro Tull will perform on September 11, 2026 at Sava Centar, eight years after their last appearance in the Serbian capital. Led by the iconic Ian Anderson, whose performances have shaped rock history since the late 1960s, the band returns to the city where they first played back in 1975. Audiences can expect an evening of timeless classics and new material from the current tour – a powerful fusion of heritage and innovation, virtuosity and theatrical presence. The elegant setting of Sava Centar will further highlight the artistic depth and musical sophistication that have defined Jethro Tull for nearly six decades. From the Marquee Club to the world stage Formed in 1967, Jethro Tull first performed under that name in 1968 at London’s legendary Marquee Club. After building a reputation across blues clubs in England and gaining wider attention at the Sunbury Jazz and Blues Festival, the band released their debut album “This Was” later that year, launching a discography that would help shape the sound of progressive rock. Ian Anderson – the flute that redefined rock At the heart of the band stands Ian Anderson – songwriter, vocalist and flautist whose unconventional, electrifying flute style became one of the most recognizable signatures in rock history. Despite lineup changes over the decades, Anderson has remained the creative driving force behind Jethro Tull.
