About
Two long-running acts from the Serbian alternative scene share a Thursday night at KC Grad: Lira Vega with their eclectic alternative pop, and CD Ministar with his band Neukrotiva Grupa Ljudi, loud and in no mood for indifference.
Lira Vega started in 1998 inside the alternative theatre troupe "Pozorište Šešira", first as a conventional rock line-up. Their debut "Lira Vega" came out on PGP RTS in 2004; by "Sreća i ljubav" (Beopolis, 2008) they were a trio experimenting with synthesisers and drum machines, and "Duhovi" followed on Lampshade Media in 2015. The band is now Zoja Borovčanin and Vladimir Đorđević. The first half of their album "Posledice rada" came out in November 2022 on Pop depresija; the second half is in preparation. In 2016 they also filmed the concert documentary "Duhovi iz prošlosti" at KC Grad.
CD Ministar is guitarist and producer Saša Furunović, also of Popečitelji and Fitnes, who has released under the name for close to two decades: an EP for POPBOKS in 2006, "Zabit" in 2015, and the early-material albums "TMA Vol. 1" and "TMA Vol. 2" in 2020. He formed the band Grupa Ljudi at the end of 2021 and has since played Karusel in Čačak, Nišville and Arsenalizacija. Singles with the band run from "Vreme teče za nas" (2022) through "Odliv mozgova" (2023), "Bikarbona fank" (2024) and "Ova tama" (2025) to the new "Nova snaga".
The band is CD Ministar on guitar and vocals, Ivan Matić on bass and vocals, Aleksandra Pavlović on vocals and percussion, Nikola Stepović on drums and Darko Đorđević on guitar.
