About
An evening of free improvisation at Sutra, from 20:00 to 22:00. The trio of Igor Stangliczky, Redrum and Jakov Čaušević starts out playing together, then the players take turns stepping back and rejoining — moving between solo moments, spontaneous duets and collective jams. No fixed plan and no opening act: two hours of open improvisation.
Jakov Čaušević took up the cello as an adult. His playing draws on early Baroque chamber music and contemporary experimental approaches, and his background in linguistics and critical theory feeds his interest in breaking down rigid forms.
Igor Stangliczky is a multidisciplinary artist working in sound art, digital graphics and hand-made design. His sound works are built from processed field recordings and electronic instruments and range from quiet, meditative pieces to walls of harsh noise. He also plays in the electro-acoustic duo Ponton.
Redrum (Re-DrUm) is the project of experimental sound artist Pavel Aleshin, founded in 2002. He works with drone, dark ambient and experimental soundscapes made from field recordings, found sounds, his own voice, acoustic instruments and unconventional sound sources, and has performed at events across Europe.
